Tour concept

  • Two days, two trails and one authentic Chiang Mai adventure. This programme is built around genuine nature trekking rather than a quick sequence of sightseeing stops. Day 1 focuses on forest, streams, waterfalls and outdoor cooking. Day 2 brings a different route with mountain views, seasonal rice terraces, another waterfall and bamboo rafting. It is ideal for active travellers who enjoy nature, outdoor activities and quieter, community-based experiences away from mass tourism.

Day 1: Streamside trek – waterfalls – jungle cooking – homestay

  • 07:00–07:30 Pickup from your hotel or agreed meeting point in Chiang Mai city. Transfer to the trailhead takes approximately 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
  • 09:30 Meet the local guide, receive a route and safety briefing, and begin trekking.
  • Day 1 trail: Approximately 7.5 km and 4–5 hours of walking. The terrain includes flat sections, hills and gentle climbs, with many sections running alongside streams. Guests should be able to walk continuously for several hours.
  • 10:00–12:00 Trek through forest, valleys, streams, waterfalls, bamboo groves, local plants and mountain scenery. Learn how the community uses bamboo and natural resources in daily life, including traditional cooking.
  • 12:00–13:30 Stop by a waterfall for a hands-on local jungle-cooking experience and lunch in nature. When weather and water conditions are safe, relax, take photos or swim.
  • 13:30–16:00 Continue trekking through valleys and streams toward the accommodation.
  • 16:00 Check in at a simple local homestay, shower and rest. The accommodation is nature-focused and authentic rather than luxurious.
  • 17:30 Learn to prepare local dishes with the host or guide using regional ingredients.
  • 18:30 Enjoy dinner together.
  • 19:30 Join an optional cultural activity subject to community availability, such as stories about local life, Karen culture, a folk performance or informal conversation. Overnight at the homestay.

Day 2: Mountain viewpoint – rice terraces – Mae Sapok Waterfall – bamboo rafting

  • 06:30–07:30 Wake to fresh mountain air, tea or coffee and natural views.
  • 08:00 Breakfast, pack your belongings and prepare for a new trekking route.
  • 09:00 Begin Day 2’s trail through mountain views, viewpoints, highland farms, rice terraces, waterfalls and community landscapes.
  • 10:30 Reach a mountain viewpoint. On a clear day, look toward the Doi Inthanon range on one side and the ridgeline behind Doi Suthep on the other. Stop to rest and take photos.
  • 10:30–12:00 Continue through valleys, seasonal rice terraces and highland farmland. The scenery changes through the growing cycle, from prepared fields and vivid green paddies to golden rice before harvest.
  • 12:00 Arrive at a beautiful waterfall for lunch, rest, photos and swimming when conditions are safe. Continue toward Mae Sapok Waterfall, an important natural destination on Day 2.
  • 14:00 Walk to the meeting point or vehicle connection for the rafting area.
  • 14:30 Enjoy approximately 40 minutes of bamboo rafting along the river through forest and mountain scenery. Duration and route may change with water level, weather and safety conditions.
  • 15:30 Change clothes and prepare for the return journey.
  • 16:00 Depart for Chiang Mai city.
  • 17:30–18:30 Drop off at your hotel or agreed meeting point in Chiang Mai.
