Hill Tribes Eco Lodges' two-day nature trek combines two trails with one night at a local homestay. Day 1 includes streamside walking, jungle cooking and an evening food experience. Before booking, confirm the room, bathroom, meals and luggage arrangements. An accommodation-only booking should not be assumed to include a trekking tour.

An overnight stay gives you time to slow down after the trail, share dinner and wake up ready for another landscape. Knowing what the homestay provides makes both the walking and the evening easier to enjoy.

How does Day 1 lead into the overnight stay?

The itinerary lists approximately 7.5 km and 4–5 hours of walking through forest, streams and waterfalls, including an outdoor cooking and lunch stop. The group then continues toward accommodation, with check-in planned around 16:00. Actual timing depends on trail conditions and the group.

Expect a simple, nature-focused local homestay. Confirm the actual room and facilities for your departure, particularly if you need a specific bed arrangement, private room or easier access.

Which room details should I check?

  • Private or shared accommodation and the number of guests per room.
  • Bed arrangement, bathroom type and bathroom location.
  • Bedding, towels, hot water and items you should bring.
  • Electricity, phone signal or internet if you need them for work.

The word homestay does not answer all these questions. Request actual room photographs or details so the group shares realistic expectations. Explain essential requirements before confirming rather than discover a mismatch on arrival.

What happens around dinner?

The itinerary includes local food preparation with the host or guide and dinner, followed by breakfast before Day 2's walk. An optional evening cultural activity depends on community availability; a particular performance is not promised every night.

Discuss food preferences and allergies in advance and obtain confirmation that your needs can be accommodated. If avoiding cross-contact is essential, explain that before buying the trip rather than at the cooking stop.

Can I bring a large suitcase?

Ask what you must carry while walking, where larger bags can be kept and whether any luggage transfer is arranged. Do not assume storage or transport for every bag. A manageable daypack should contain what you need according to the team's advice.

Prepare dry overnight clothing, personal items and a way to separate wet clothes after water activities. If you must work online, check connectivity first rather than plan the nature trip around continuous access.

Where does Day 2 go?

After breakfast, a different trail passes mountain viewpoints, farmland and seasonal rice terraces, followed by Mae Sapok Waterfall and bamboo rafting when conditions permit. The Day 1 figure of 7.5 km is not the total for both days; request the current walking plan if you need a combined distance.

Are there morning elephant activities at the homestay?

No. This nature-trekking program has no elephant activities, feeding or elephant wake-up experience.
