Hill Tribes Eco Lodges nature treks include return transfers from Chiang Mai city hotels. Confirm your hotel, meeting point and pickup time before departure. The drive toward Mae Wang takes approximately 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. A trek trailhead is not necessarily the lodge address, so arrange a meeting point before driving independently.

A well-planned transfer leaves you free to enjoy the trail, waterfalls and river rather than work out transport between activities. This guide covers travel arrangements for the one-day and two-day nature treks, both without elephant activities.

How does hotel pickup work?

  1. Provide the hotel name, full address and your travel date.
  2. Receive confirmation of the meeting point and pickup time.
  3. Be ready at the agreed location and use a contact number that works on the day.
  4. Travel to meet the guide for a route and safety briefing before walking.

The published itineraries list a 07:00–07:30 pickup window. Your individual hotel time still needs confirmation; do not treat the entire window as a fixed appointment for every address. Hotels outside the city or on difficult-access roads require a specific check.

Mountain community surroundings; confirm the actual meeting point for your chosen itinerary.

Do both trekking programs start at the same place?

The one-day itinerary starts in the Pha Mon Royal Project area and follows an approximately 8 km route through natural terrain and farmland, with outdoor lunch preparation, Mae Sapor Waterfall and bamboo rafting. The overnight itinerary begins with a forest and streamside trek before reaching a homestay; a different trail follows on Day 2.

Do not automatically use the accommodation pin as the trailhead. Confirmed transport arrangements connect the starting point, walking sections and river activity for your selected itinerary.

What if I want to drive myself?

Ask for the exact meeting pin, permitted parking and the plan for collecting your car afterward. This matters on a point-to-point walk where the finishing location differs from the start. Agree on the arrangement before leaving Chiang Mai rather than arriving at a general map location.

Can I be collected outside the city or at the airport?

Send the actual address or flight schedule for a case-by-case check. The website FAQ mentions airport pickup, but that does not mean every arriving flight can connect with an early trekking departure. Allow for baggage collection, travel and delays before requesting a same-day arrival and trek.

How much time should I leave after the tour?

The one-day itinerary lists a return to Chiang Mai around 18:30–19:00. The overnight itinerary lists 17:30–18:30 on Day 2. These are estimated itinerary times, not a guarantee of catching a flight or onward service. Tell the team about an important onward connection before confirming.
